I just started riding, and am having trouble making the turn after I start back up the wall in the vert(?) I think that is what it is called. I call it the bowl b/c I'm not really sure what it is called. Any ideas?

Mr. 42 i honestly didn't know about ur name when i signed up, no disrespect to u.

no joke, i am a dad, and i am 42, i took my 2 boys out one day and watched them ride at a skatepark and it was killing me just standing there watching. i remembered way back when i had a GT coyote. it was a big piece of plastic and we used to ride down these huge hills wearing a pair of tennis shoes, no pads, no helmet, no shirt and a pair of cutoffs. no freakin way i would do that today. no reason for me 2 lie about it. i wanted to do something with them and this is what they want to do. my 5 year old rocks. he has a bigger set of balls than i do, he is fearless.

i'm still having a problem making that turn on the wall.

thanx foosball, i spent 10 years of my life on the road with a band. it was great.
i'd luv 2 have a board like that now but i don't get a chance to run sound that much anymore. i'd rather hang out with my wife and kids than go to a bar.

Just keep skating dude its an amazing sport and I think its really cool that you do it with your kids...... Itll come dont worry I think you mean a kick turn but im confused so just kinda put pressure on the tail but not to much and turn I cant really explain it... can you ollie or anything?

Yeah, I think you're talking about kickturns. If you're having problems doing them, then maybe you should practice a little on banks. Maybe set up a little bank with some wood, and then make it progressively steeper as you learn to kickturn on it. And then commit once you get back to the vert you're skating on.

Do you ever skate in Baltimore by chance? I met a guy that was 42 once and he said the exact same thing, that he hated watching his kids skate so he wanted to join, same problem turning on vert too...Well if your the same guy then we met before at state of confusion in Baltimore.

I'm in a 'burb out of Nashville, Tn. I have my own teeth and my own shoes and I am not married to any family members. No Deliverance stuff here. I've never been on COPS either. All in all, as abnormal as the rest of the world. Cardinals are gonna win the World Series this year.
