jack_morris
06-11-2006, 08:44 AM
Im using an xm2, does anyone know about the death lens i can use? im not sure if it will be different than a vx because the speaker seems lower. If a step up ring is a solution would it cause vignetting?

hopelessfilmer
06-11-2006, 01:48 PM
you have a 58mm thread you could use a century mk1/mk2 58mm thread monts(vx2kand vx21k have the same threads) or you could just buy the century death made for gl2 bayonet mountsssss.. and last choice would be raynox mx3000

wowwhatsthat
06-11-2006, 09:14 PM
i have a canon elura 100 kenko sgw043 fisheye custom handle. 2 and a half hour battery

^^I'm pretty sure GLs are three chips, I know Panasonic has a bunch of 'em.

Canon Optura with a stock fisheye that came with it

And a ZR 200

I'm buying a Baby Death this summer though, you can barely tell any difference with that lens on the Optura and just about nothing at all on the ZR.

And using an XL is risky skating, drop it filming a line and you'll never see that thing work as long as you live.

Trippy_Filmer

panisonic for life. but still wouldnt mind a sony. and yes the gl2 is a 3chipper.

ihateyou, vx's have 3.46 mega pixels max.. while the dvx has 4.31..

the canon 10/20 opturas are 1chipss.obvisously..

gl1/2's small 3chips
dvc80/dvx's big colorfull 3chips
vx's big3chips have to be ajusted a certain way to mantain true full color.

Trippy: Do you have some footage posted somewhere on the internet, or know of some footage posted from the panny 150? I just wanna see an example with the quality i should be shooting for.

I've got some gay Canon Optura 50 Matt is letting me use but one of my friends just recently got himself a Sony FX1/Century Mk2 and has been filming us in HD. Unfortunately he has absolutely no filming experience and thinks having good equipment makes you a good filmer...shame. I wish I had the scrills to get stuff like that.

hopelessfilmer
07-20-2006, 02:43 AM
......he has an fx1 wiht mk2?...... thats overkill... and.. he doesn't know how to film...

That camera rocks man. It's the same camera we've been using for a couple years now. All the pics I've posted on this site have been taken with that camera. I'm not sure what you mean by "Good luck with single shots".

Uhh no. Most people don't know, but gl's have larger chips than a vx.
