Been screwing around on toyboards for the last month, Didn't pay much for them, but the speed is so slow, At my skate park people think I'm hiding fat under my shirt or something.

So can anyone point me to an actual board, I've only got like £40 to spend, So thats like $60 USD, and I'm not willing to pay too much on P&P, since most of you guys are from america.

I've heard about blank decks and whatnot, but I've finally managed to learn how to ollie, after 4 weeks of popping and no-joy.

But the board I have, would have seriously injured me yesterday If I wasn't wearing a helmet, So I think its definatly time to splash out, and enlarge my trick book.

Ty in advance.

um, Just go to your local skate shop and ask for how much a quality setup would be. But if you want quality your going to have to spend more than that.

http://www.blankdecks.com/completes_index.htm

i've only ridden the decks from there but they're really good. and as far as the element idea, I say dont do that. I've never ridden them, but look anywhere on this site and you'll see that they aren't recommended at all.

Deck -> 7.5 Blank
Grip -> Jessup
Trucks -> Grind King GK-7's
Bearings -> Bones Reds
Wheels -> 54mm Blanks
Hardware -> 7/8'' Grind King Hardware
Risers -> 1/8'' (3mm) Blue Rubber Risers.

How does that sound?

Do not get an Element, try and find some jobs or do chores if your a kid and save up, I really recommend a board from Tum Yetyo but it's all personal preference I'd read the Deck Guide Pro's and Con's in the Review Section

Dude, I doubt you have ever skated an Element. Yeah they're crap, I hate the shape of it, but it's ****ING PERSONAL ****ING PREFERENCE. My friend loves them, he likes the whole big nose small tail thing. So shut the **** up about Element if you've never ridden anything like it.

If you are skating street, buy smaller wheels. Maybe 51, 52mm.

For the trucks, I don't like GK. Ventrure, Krux, and Indy are the best.

^ The ratings don't really matter. But you should seriously consider saving up enough money for some Bones Super Swiss 6 (40$). You'll be amazed how far they can take pr push. Or if you're low on money, get some Bones Reds (15$). Not quite as good, but still alot better than what you're dealing with now.
