Hello everyone, be nice - this is my first post :D
Well, after about 2 years of not skating, I picked up the board and went for a skate with my friend. I've now been skating for about a month, and I've sorta got back to where I was before (almost), getting back tricks like fakie bigspins, heelflips and nosesliding this bench that's about 1 and a half ft. high. The trucks I have on there are Ventures (one old, one new (mind you, that was about 4 years ago when I got them, have they brought out any newer ventures??)) I used to keep my board in quite good nick, taking it all apart and lubing up the bearings and whatnot, but now I'm afraid that if I take the wheels off, the thread will be so worn, it won't go back on - what to do?

No, I mean, I don't think the bolt will go back on. And, I don't really have any money at the moment......

Threads don't wear out, they can get stripped if your not careful though. If your bearings need cleanig or lubing, just give it a shot. The threads are probably OK.

Hmmm. Well, I snapped my kingpin the other day, and had quite a task getting the bolt back on that... It's more about cleaning the bearings than lubing them really, they've been in there for at least 2 years.

ya I broke my Appleyard Thunders kingpins on the sidewalk, the cracks in the sidewalk broke it off, its surprisingly easy to brake them

Bearing in mind, it was an old Venture kingpin from at least 4 years ago. Also, just because I can't do better tricks, doesn't mean to say that I don't skate hard or try big things.
