board suggestions

well im 6'3 and have 14inch shoes. my question is what size skateboard should i get. i see alot of board that are 7.5by31....its jsut that i dont wanna buy a skateboard and then have it too small, since i cnat try it out over the net. :-1:

also im not looking for vert skating. i was thinking reds bearings some krux downlows and 52mm wheels.

Welcome to RR! ha, I think you might have made a bad choice picking that username. You won't be new for long. oh well.

I'm 6' and 13" shoes. I'd suggest getting a 33" deck. The wheels and bearings you're thinking about getting are okay. Good luck.

Try taking a look at the many threads that show good boards and brands.

Board size doesnt really make a big difference, a member on these forums,(spenser) skates 8.25 decks, and his shoe size isnt even very big. So its all preference, maybe try an 8.0 as your first deck.

well, youre a pretty tall guy with pretty big feet. and if you want to get into vert, i say try about 8.25. thats a pretty standard vert size, and youre tall with big feet, so.... yeah. i skate 8.25 sometimes and im 5'10 with size 10 feet.

but.. you dont have to get anything that anyone says.. its best to go to a shop and stand on different sizes.

oh, and the 7.5 thing... you see so many in that size because little kids buy smaller boards.. its good for business. but its created this image that thats normal.. but its not. people think that smaller is better because of it.. but its not necessarily. 7.5 is TINY. i could never ride those now.

I'm 5'9 and have a size 12 shoe and i use 7.5. I used to have an 8 but i never could do much with it so i now stay in the 7.5-7.75 sizes.

not really, but i have a friend who wears 13's and its funny watchin him try to skate a 7.5, so i let him use this 8'' zoo york for a while until he broke the truck... now he has his own board... but its a 7.75,
