I failed grade 9 academic math , I'm not sure if it's the same in the rest of the world but in Canada there is academic math (for lack of a better word , "hard" math) and applied, which is easier, and I failed academic math with a 42 (needing a 50 to pass) partly because of our teacher never checking our homework, I just assumed we didn't have to do it very often but apparently we were supposed to show her throughout the class and I didn't know, I always thought the other kids were just going up to ask questions. and I also failed, because of some very distracting girls that sat in front of me.
