Well i've been practicing ollies alot still. I find that when i do them while moving i don't get any height and I never land them. Same goes for my shuv-it's :(

Is this because i should have been practicing them moving?

ALWAYS learn your tricks moving. You might feel safer, but there is absolutley NO POINT in doing them stationary, because it's a completley different trick when you're moving.

One of the key things with ollies in motion is that you need to lean to the side a little more. (Right if you're goofy, left if you're regular) so that you can move with the board; because the momentum of your movement is going to obviously pull the board forward. Snap the tail down, drag your front foot up the nose while tucking your legs up into your chest, and then stick that sucker and bend your legs when you land.

Just practice and fall. You will get it eventually.

YES I BEAT SPENSER TO THIS ONE!

Just commit, and visualize yourself landing it. Pratice alot, the more you do the better chance you will of getting them.

Hope this helps.

When you pop, try to pop it STRAIGHT down instead of scooping your foot as if you were jumping normally. If this still doesn't work, you might want to watch how you guide your front foot. Drag it STRAIGHT up the board, and not in any other direction.

Just practice. I found that being more square with the board helps when you do them moving, and have your front foot more perpendicular to the deck instead of angled a little. That's just me, though.
