You need to use speed lubricant or something of that sort. WD40 takes away the grease(or whatever thing it is) that makes them spin. If your bearings have rust on them, then use WD40, let it dry, then put some Speed Lub. on, and you should be in shape. Check under the tune-ups part of the skateboarding section for more details.

hmm. . . so, no WD-40? it says on the can that it helps lubricate??? couldn't u leave the WD-40 on? i know speed cream is better, but can't u use WD-40 if u don't have speed cream?

I used to use WD40 all the time, and it'd be fine for the rest of the day. But the next day it'd be all stoped up and crap, like the bearings would not roll at all. That's why it's smart not to use it ;)

I use a combo of WD-40, Vaseline, and Speed Cream, had my bearings for a year now and they still work like they're new.

I clean mine whenever they get dirty. But if they're not dirty, still clean them mabye every 2-4 weeks.

oh, i'm gonna buy the GK Rims, they're the bolts that hold you're wheels on, but they have a but of extra metal to help protect bearings, i'm gonna use them for dirt :D:p

i dont like the rims, they slow ur bearings down and if u do lots of powerslides or bluntslides or anything where ur sliding sideways on ur wheels they damage ur bearings, i took mine off cuz they were slowing me down too much and i had 2 completely broken bearings and 1 of my bearings the sheild wont stay on now (their not crappy bearings, theyre black panthers, so it had to be the rims)
