This is Justin Boyle's Index of Filming turns Verison 1.0

This index has no alphabetical order as of verison 1, and no one one should change it.

Post Production- The act of editing raw digital and/or Film footage into one intergradted video file.

Raw Footage- Footage thats is untouched, Untouched meaning not edited, Compressed, Or altered in any way.

Compression- the act of making a video file smaller in file size, Video Quality ect.

CCD-Charged-Coupled Device. in a 3 ccd camera there are 3 ccd's one for Green Red and Blue Lights.

Hd camera-Pointeless in the skateboarding industry, Think about how alot of skateboards have 19 inch tvs and not 50 inch hd tvs. Pointless cameras.

Fisheye-A lens used to distort the image, by making the image have a curved effect like the barrel of a gun, making objects in the foreground come forward, and objects in the back reside.

Long Lens-Just what your camera comes with, Nothing at all, shooting from far back.

Ramped Slow-Mo -Slow mos that Go from 100% video speed to 50% video speed, gradually not a complete drop to 50%

Sony Premium tapes-Best tapes on the market that are in a decent Price range. Very little dirt on the tape.

JVC tapes-Worst tapes ever dont buy too much dirt.

Head Cleaner- Cleans the heads of your camera.
Heads- a part in your camera which i dont know what they do other then spin the tape to let it be taped on. they get very dirty

you can add somemore like

Vignetting - Black corners seen in footage created by the fisheye distortion.

Death lens - A nickname for a fisheye, called death lens because there is a risk of flying boards due to filming close to the skater.

Filming board- Board with soft wheels and loose trucks to ride on to get a line on tape without making video noise.

White balance- adjusting the colors on your camera to make the video look better PS:always use your white balance never use manual settings

Viewfinder- Eye cup at the back of your camera used to see what is being recorded saves battery unlike the lcd.

lcd- The screen that pops out of your camera most cameras have lcds. lcds waste valuable battery power.

never use manual settings? always use manual settings if you kow how to. white balence is a manual setting.

-white balence allows the color temperature to be changed removing un- natraul color casts. most filmers like a warmer color temperature.

The lcd doesnt pop out it folds out.

-The viewfinder allows the filmer to the subject that is being filmed.

dude dont even bother posting.

wrong, white balance is what color the camera thinks is true white. you should always use manual settings, otherwise you would be using auto...

the best easy way to white balance well is to just find someone wearing a plain white tshirt and have them stand where you're going to be filming, then white balance off the shirt.

oh yeah, and JVC cameras suck, don't buy one.

Color has nothing to actually do with the video quality, it just makes the image more pleasing to the eye. HD is not pointless for skateboard it's just that most people can't afford it right now, in a few years HD will be the standard, so why not start using it now and be ahead of everyone else.
As for tapes they don't have dirt on them, the reason using different tapes can make your heads "dirty" is that some have lubricant and others are dry.
