well theres this 4ft quarter at my local park and ive just learned to air out onto the deck(not by ollieing,by popping your wheels off the coping) and i can do it now. but i only get like half a foot of air and my freinds get 3ft most of the time,so im wondering,how do you get more air? ive tried sucking my legs up more but the board never follows them. any suggestions?

ollie or nollie, suck up yer legs, try to do a grab. go really fast.

pump the rolin or the drop in then pump up get alot of speed eventually youll start ollieing. Pull a nose grab, they sort of help with air. I still only get a 1 or 2 feet on a good one, but i can tweak a nose grab most of the time. Then again im doing it on an 8ft quarter pipe. Just pump you legs like hell.

Practice pumping your transitions..Then get your popping good.. THen ollies.. It's not hard, but feels wierd at first...

thing is,im talking about popping the wheels off the coping,not ollieing. example you drop in a halfpipe,jump off your board at the other side and it pops up into your arm off the coping. you manual before you hit the coping and your wheel pops off it and you get air. thats how everyone does it here.

more speed + straighten legs = BIG AIR

like they said above, pump the ramps before it, get more speed and then straighten those legs out to air out big. if you just suck your legs up when you hit the quarter then it'll just flop you over the coping. don't stiffen them so you hyperextend your knees but you need to push against the ramp.

nah i meant suck up my legs when im in the air but ill try and straighten out a little more,thanks for the help.

when I air out I dont ollie, I just kinda lift all my weight off the board by jumping "With" the board....its hard to explain, but that I way I air out pretty high

Well, be the first to ollie it or something.. To get more air you just gotta go fast and pump. If you try ollieing halfway up it, you will get a cool effect. Try it.
