I’m new at skating and my board (which my mom bought for about 39$ at Wal-Mart) is getting all beat up and I’m looking into a new deck. I’m not looking for one with art I’m just looking for a durable board. I have 50.00$ to spend and I don’t feel like getting one at wal-mart but if there is a particular board that fits my needs I could try and get one at my local skate shop.

Any suggestions on what board I should get?

Well if all you've ridden is a wal mart its hard to say, cause its really based on personal preference. Dont let anyone tell you "this brand sucks" or "this brand rocks" because most of them come from the same place anyway. If your a bigger guy, you may want to try a wider (8 inch) board, if your a smaller guy you may want to try a skinnier (7.5 inch) board.

I'd go there, and if you happen to see your favorite skaters board in a size you like, just go ahead and get that, if your really having trouble deciding, just go for a blank deck, save yourself some money.

Thanks, I'll try and go for the bigger blank board, since I only have 50.00$ and I'm looking for durability, not style.

i have a feeling youre thinking of a whole setup. cause walmart stuff is.. really bad. so id assume you want all new stuff?

50 isnt going to get you far, at all.

Try blankdecks.com. No graphics, which makes them cheaper, but they are as good as any other board.

If you want a complete, save up 10 more dollars, and get this:

These threads amaze me... There are just so many of them... I can't for the life of me work out dollar to pound ratio but... AdioBird has found a fairly decent one. I suggest the above.

I am looking for a hole new set-up. I went to my local skate shop today and a new set up is about 60$ but, if I can take the trucks and weels and such from my old board and buy just the board I might be able to get a good deal.

Thanks for the help. :)

well, the thing is, you probably have some random brand trucks and wheels, which make it harder to skate. i'd say like mac trucks, or kryptonics, idk. get the level 2 blank complete if anything, cause blank trucks aren't going to last you long.
