1. Your gonna want to have your front foot 1 inch behind the front bolts with an equal amount of toe and heel hanging off of your board on both sides.

2. Your going to want to pop like an ollie except you want to drag your foot up and not level out.

3. When you think you foot is almost off you want to kick it off and then you want to put your foot right back on.If you kick out right the kick will level your board out.

Common mistakes:

1. YOUR FOOT WONT GO OFF

What your are probably doing is not getting your front foot high enough up on the nose before you kick your foot off.

2. THE BOARD SPINS OR GOES IN PRIMO

You are probably flicking it or not sliding your foot evenly up the board.

Here are some examples of me doing some ollie norths(i just started learning them a week ago so they suck): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niNUu1rdfAQ

Yeah I learned these today for the S.K.A.T.E. with McJesus. Just put your feet farther up the board and do what McJesus said.

actually mcjesus, even though i'm not very crazy about watching kids do flatground single tricks, you catch them quite good.

good trick tip but i disagree with the toe and heel thing. You can do them without yours toes hanging off. Infact I never have my toes hanging off for anything except fs shoves and heelflip tricks. Foot placement differs for people dude.
