I was thinking about getting this---
Deck: Toy Machine 7.75
Trucks: Thunders or krux?
Wheels: Blanks or Spitfires if i have to
Bearings: Bone reds? i need help with this
Hardware: whatever is cheapest
Grip: Black magic or jessup

so yeah what im basicly asking is would this be an ok setup? i really have no clue with the bearings and the trucks im still debating on but im leaning towards thunders. but yeah thanks in advance.

Sounds good. Get Thunders, blank wheels, Reds are good, and I'd go with Jessup grip.

yeah, good setup, as long as the deck is one you think you,ll feel confortable with you,ll be good, as he said thunders way better, i dont know about black magic grip tape, but jessup has never let me down, blank wheels are the way to go, they dont haver to have a logo on them to be good, as long as they ride well. Nice setup, though toy machine isnt mmy favorite brand of deck, it really depends upon the rider how well a deck works so, no bad and just go with it. Soon you,ll learn which trucks, decks, and whatever else fit you and your skating best. Finding a skateboard setup that fits you well is fairly influencial in your skating sucess. Good Choices Though!

everyone's been saying spitfires are bad lately. honestly, i dont notice much difference, but i think im gonna start getting blanks. id say go with the thunders, blank wheels, reds, and i like black magic better than jessup

haha yeah thats definitely what im getting. Black magic apparently costs around $10 while jessup at the same skop costs $4. And ive heard better things about jessup.

All my friends and I have agreed that black magic is better than jessup. I have a zero deck w/black magic and it's great. Isn't jessup like the cheapest/default grip tape which makes it inferior to black magic. You pay for what you get type thing.

Black Magic RAPES shoes. Destroys them. I mean, how much grip do you really NEED on a deck. Jessup is that perfect medium level of Grip.

ok i just got back from the skate shop......and i got the following..
Deck: Johhny Layton Rock Monster 7.75 (they said it was and 8 but i remeasured like 1000000 times and I say its 7.75)
Trucks: Ventures (It was either those, tensors, or some bam royals)
Wheels: Blank 54mm
Bearings: Bone reds
Hardware: Shortys
Griptape: they were out of jessup so i had to go with black magic...(happened to me when i bought my last deck)
So yeah rate please

nice, for bearings you should try rush bearings. they are cheap and work well.
