Well I actully have a good feeling about this one. More realistic and looks more realistic. The 3d is amazing on this one. They also said that when you go up hill you slow down and when you go down hill you speed up. Just as you would in real life. More tricks more skateboarders and idk maby it will be put to shame with the rest but I do have a great feeling on this one.

its just animation test footage,just a basic level clearly. they probobly havent even began level design so early in the games lifespan,theyre probobly still developing/tweaking the engine,thus animation TEST footage.

you can get the 20gig version for $500, anyway that trailers sweet but watch the video interview its so cool some of the stuff theyre putting in,(like making gettho ramps ,and groups of skaters will move around town and sesh different spots.)

Board still kinda seems to fat to me. It may have awesome physics, but what if theres only 2 different animations for each trick? Just a sketchy one and a clean one? It'll be pretty similar to the other games, just the 2 animations per trick could be more detailed. Lets just hope. Might be the first TH game i bought since THUG1!

Thats got to be one of the worst posts I've ever read...

1. Skaters generally aren't programmers or 3d artists, so I'd like to know how they plan on making the game.

2. Lots of the dev team Im sure skateboard, its developed in California, so yeah chances are a lot of them were into skating or got into skating after the development of the first game.

3. It isnt random people, you have to find people who are talented, if you just grabbed a bunch of skaters that would be "random people".

I read in a mag that the game will recognize height also, so a flatground tre wont look the same as a tre off a huge set, which is cool, so hopefully it wont take .3 seconds to flip and catch, then have to wait 3 seconds to hit the ground.

I've been doin a bunch of research on the game..I'm just hoping there's some sort of mode where you can make videos of yourself in the game..like video parts and shit. I was reading this thing about it yesterday and it said that as you gain speed you get speed wobbles, and the blancing from left to right on grinding has been beefed up. It also said that the expressions of the skater will look more realistic. The game should be for the PS2 as well, being produced by Shaba games, the people who ported THPS 3 to the PS1 back in the day. It wasn't that good, seeing as it was missing so much from the PS2 version.
I expect the differences between the PS2 and PS3 versions in this game to be enough to make you not want it, unless you just want another Tony Hawk game like the ones before it.

i also wanted to add maybe in the next one they should add a balance meter to also control trix that require you to balance on just one end like a 5-0 while also baancing left and right and i hope it's more challenging so when i ollie a 20 set (like in thug 1) i din't land ten yards awayfrom the bottom step it was too easy

Let me clear this up.Downhill Jam is going to be released for the nintendo DS and Wi, and the Psp. Project 8 is gong to be released on PS3 and X-Box 360. It will also be released for the PS2,XBox,and GAmecube but with less better graphics but I still think it will be one hell of a game on the current gen consoles. yeah,i would like a realistic game but i dont mind if its not. besides,the analog flipping sounds really fun,since you can rotate it anyway you want you can essentially create your own flip tricks.

Its called Project 8 bc its about a town full of kids and Tony Hawk comes into town to pick 8 kids to become amatures and those kids and you have to try to get better and rank your way up to the top 8. I hope that answeres you.

Too true, those boardslides at the end would have broke that board right in half. The whole video made it look completely unrealistic. But, you kinda have to expect that from video games.

It is coming out on ps2 but it has a different developer, so I'm guessing it will be like wasteland and SK8 land. I might but get and Xbox 360 so if it is like wasteland and sk8 land them I'm saved but if it isn't I'm just goona get it on ps2.

Yeah, me too. I hate that, it makes the "realistic" factor even worse. I don't know why they added those.
