My mate in the business side of the skating world told me what the companies are looking for in sponsor videos.
1. No fancy editing, Just your name, age and location sent with the video.
2. No music, its pointless in a sponsor video because if it doesnt match the style of skating it throws the viewer off.
3.Stance Variation, Skate in every stance, this includes down sets, off drops, or in and out of grinds.
4. Tech skills, They like to see a good variation of manual and flip in flip out grinds.
5. Handrails, All well and good if you can do them, They arent nesecary so if your out there skating ledges flippin in, 360in stuff then switch tre flippin dont feel you have to risk a handrail.
6. Terrain, Sponsors like to see you can skate everything, Its not necesary but if you get skills on mini ramp or chill out on a bowl it helps.
7. Smile A little!, Add some random stuff so they know your not some fuddy duddy who will stay in the hotel room on a tour while everyones out partyin!
Hope this helps with all you wannabe sponsered skaters.
