no, just skate. how could you think a brand new deck will break in a matter of days, unless your name is carlos ruiz?

You break in girlfriends, not boards. I love the feel of a brand new deck.

You just have to get used to the concave, that's about it.

The only time you break in a deck if its been sitting for a long time.

A brand new deck is more likely to snap than an old deck because the ply is more brittle.

^That's true, but overall i think new decks are less likely to break. When boards are new they still have their full concave and boards have this to help make them stronger. As old boards start to flatten out this makes them more prone to snapping. Also new boards are less likely to be harbouring any old pressure cracks and stuff of the sort.

Breaking in a deck is a bad thing
lol You want as much pop as you can get on a 6 set or higher. Also I Suggest bringing a back up board because If you have never hit anything that big you will mess up a few times and you will break that deck if you are determined to land a big set
