Legalizing skating.

Ok, I live in a town of about one thousand people on a good day. And thanks to a few bad eggs in our town skating is now banned from our school. But the city was like "Oh, we'll build you a skatepark though don't worry." So they build a concrete slab and skaters had to bring our own wood, ramps, and rails. So they didnt' really build anything. But, now if you get caught skateing the school you get your board taken away, a ticket, and it is put on your criminal record. Anyway back to subject. I want to legalize skating at our school. I am at the top of my class in grades so I am on the principal's good side and I have a few ideas of convincing them.

Number One: have everyone who wants to skate the school sign a release form saying we won't sue if we get hurt.

Number two: They complained about a few rails getting scratched up before. The only problem is the only people that could get on those rails at the time were bikers from another town. So I will tell them that no harm will come to the school first and hopefully I can work in the rails.

Number three: The park built for us does not accomadate us.

I think these are some good topics to bring up. If anyone has any other ideas please tell me. I need all the help I can to get the school back. :-2:

Yeah its pretty crazy but we have learned to cope with it here and their by going to our grass ditchs laying down a couple boards and having a gap for a day. You know, gotta get creative.

Whenever we do skate the school we make the best of it and it's kinda like a big operation. One dude watches for cops, ONe dude films, couple people skate. We were all black clothes sometimes so we can run if we see a cop and blend in. One time I was hiding under this overhang over the kindergarten door in the shadows when a cop walked by with a flashlight I was for sure he was going to catch me but he never even looked in the overhang. I have also hid in a slide, behind a shed, on the top of a jungle jim, in a tree, in the street, at a friends house by the spot but sometimes there is not enough time to get there, and even in an empty trash can. It gets pretty crazy sometimes.

Listen dude, you don't live here. You don't know what its like living in a one horse town with nothin to do but skate a crappy park. We build new stuff all the time. But we can't build stairs so the only place with stairs is our school. About the rails, do you really think that I thought that no one was going to skate them? Of course people will skate them but if a someone is walking by they will never know if we went down that rail or not. And finally no one in my town would stoop to the level of sueing. This is just to give the school a reason to let us back and not worry about it.

So don't be so negative man. Look on the bright side sometimes.

There aren't any skateparks in my town and the closest one is about a half hour away. Luckily skateboarding is legal but my mom doesn't let me go anywhere. The only places I can skate are in my driveway and on the street in front of my house. I feel your pain.

Yes I live in a small town. No, their is not other place in my town to skate other than the streets, the skatepark, and the school. But if you get into trouble with the law here everyone knows it and you immediatley get a bad reputation.

I live in a small town of 6,000 people and it's the same way here. If you want to have fun, you have to drive 45 minutes to the next town.

Now, you'll have to do what the kids at my park did; improvise. They took a bunch of long, round metal pipes and welded them to some metal legs. Vola! They now have 6 extra bars to slide on. Even the little bit helps.

Hov32 man its the sameway here bro. You arent allowed to skate at the best spots and in my case also its the schools around here. Here they take your board, give u a ticket if your under 18 and if your over 18 they take u to jail which is Fuked up. Anyways what we do here is go out and find more spots like this week alone i found a few sweet docks and some 6 stair sets. Also i live in a small town also so most of the sweet spots r in the next town over which means we have to skate bout 3 miles to the spots which sucks but its better than nothing.

Actually, BMXers will get their bikes taken away and get a ticket for riding their bikes in most towns. Sometimes they will even have it put on their criminal record.

I always thought tresspassing was a crime..........so their is absolutely no reason why you should be able to skate your school. You have a park skateboarding is illegal on private property. It doesnt need to be legal you always have it in your mind, you going to get kicked out and arrested and aalot of other shit beat on by fags scrape elbows and break bones thats the challenge of it thats why its addicting, your not going to legalize skating it just doesnt work that why its a form of vandalism.
I used to skate this funeral home everyday and get kicked out and almost went to juevenile hall. Finnally the guy realized we just needed some flat pavement and he let us skate the parking lot like we always did.
we have a park that lots of people would go to and you could propose this to your town, some kids skated vert i did alittle and the skated this bank thing and a hubba but **** them the real skating was at the flatbar. HAve your town build a small manny pad and a flatbar that was always enough.
Also why not skate somewhere else, dont tell me its the only spot because thats a ****ing lie, get off your ass and skate somewhere else. God in oneday i remeber me and my friend about a year ago decided wed go to the next town over evern though we didnt need to because we could have explored our town which we did later on, ad i was saying we went to this other town which was about three blocks over we ended up finding a wallride spot two three stairs and an infinite amount ov ledge spots, just look around.

got a problem there to. The cops always are patrolling. We have 5 of them. Way too much if you ask me. And all they live for is busting skaters and looking for speeders on the highway.

Yeah apparently if we skate at our school we are supposed to have the cops called on us and shit like that. But it doenst stop us. Skate late at night or make something for your park. The park here, if you leave any equipment they take it away. Improvise and make shit up to skate. But like cowdawg said, the paper wont do anything. At best they would make you wear all pads.
