raise the height of your jump? My ollies have now reached the height of my jump, and there is nothing I can do to get them higher. Is there a way I can improve my actual jump? Thanks.

yea, maybe stretch, work out ur leg muscles, do the crouching excersize(sp?) for ages and maybe get your leg muscles stronger by doing those weight thingys at tha gym or sumtin

squats (weight on ure shoulkders squat down then up, repeat) and go to the gym and just do some bends with ure legs on the weights, also u could jog and remeber to stretch after u warm up and then u exercise

Skating more is not an option... I skate for like 10-12 hours a day XD. I will try squats, thanks guys.

jump a lot. if you have a trampeline, use that, it will work your leg muscles. Squats are good too, if you have access to equipment.

They made these retarded looking training shoes that susposibly make you jump higher. They were on Seinfield once.

PLIOMETRICS!!! Jumprope and stair workouts. Also, set up 3 different sized cardboard boxes from small to big and jump over them consecutively. It really helps. Also, stand with the ball of your foot on a curb or step and go up and down until your calves burn... My vertical improved 6 inches from doing this stuff for a month. Now i can grab rim and i'm only 5'7''.

^^ do those actualy exist? they look too ridiculous to be seen wearing and or actualy make you jump higher

go to the gym and use the leg press thing it works like a charm

use a jump rope/ skipping rope too. they are good working outerers

Stretch your calves and hamstrings. Do toe raises with weight and heel walk. The heel walk balances out the muscle strength on your calves compared to the thin layer you have on your shin. It really does help. Squat helps, but not near enough to be noticed except over a 4-6 year period. I had a website I used to follow. If I find it I will post it.

im in a city basketball league .............walk on your toes for a while.. and im not talking about 30 minutes to an hour......... i mean FOR A WHILE, this is suppose to build whatchamacallit muscle and help you jump higher

do leg workouts, Squats, calf raises. jump make your knees touch your chest then land and then do it again. Try to stay in the air as much as possible so as soon as u land u go right back up. Do bout 5 sets of 20 wit 30 second rest. there is alot of things u can do to jump higher, just google it or something.

i read an article in kingpin skateboard magazine about a special excersie that if done once a day will greatly improve all aspects of your skateboarding. It was about 2 pages long so dont even as for me to type it up just google it or go on the kingpin website and order the back issue.

for referance-

also the exercise if i have read this right is called PILATES.

use that information to try and find the article online.
