I broke my first board today doing a acid drop off the tailgate of my friend's truck today! Yes, I know I'm a loser but that was awesome! I don't really know why that is so cool to me because I broke my baby...but I'll have pictures up sometime tomorrow...lol

well it's not like I have to wait for awhile to get another deck or anything...as a matter of fact my friend gave me an extra deck like maybe 7 mins. after words...I just think it was funny how it happened, because as soon as the wheels touched the ground it snapped...I didnt even have time to start to bend my knees for the landing

Your friend just gave you a board. Your friend must either be rich or sponsored.

I gave my toy machine solid stomp yesterday when i was done skating, it was beat all to hell, and my fight should be here soon, so after i finally landed the trick i was trying, i snapped it. Then I popped an ollie and a kickflip with only the grip holding it together... kinda forces you to land bolts i guess.

Dude I get pissed if i break boards cause they cost quite alot of dosh for a plank of wood thats why I get blanks now and always land on bolts :)

I can't explain it fully, skateboarder92, but it is basically a form of dropping onto a ramp from bove

skateboarder92, you might know it as a "caveman" maybe...idk thats just what some of the younger skayers are calling it in my area. and no my friend isnt rich or sponsered, he's moving to South Carolina(sp?) in a few days so he just gave me a goodwood deck for a "temp" board if you will...it gets the job done

Acid Drop
1. To ride straight off of an obstacle such as a ledge and drop to the ground without ollying. Fairly dull and unstylish, and not really a trick (more of an accident). 2. To ride from the top of the ramp clean over the edge - over the coping - and push the front of the board down so that you meet the transition (curved section) of the ramp.

ty http://www.board-crazy.co.uk/tricktionary.phpwell...your lingo is fairly different from the lingo in my area then, because around here an acid drop is like coming down after a wall plant if you will...You have the nose of the board in hand and throw the board under your feet before you land....

not my definition i got it off that website, and thas called a bomb drop -V
Bomb Drop
A skateboarding trick probably best described as a jazzy way to mount your board. The skater begins with the board held behind him with his front hand and jumps into the air, putting the board under his feet with his hand and slamming down to the ground. Can be performed stationary, rolling, or into a half pipe, bowl or other obstacle.

the website is http://www.board-crazy.co.uk/tricktionary.phpyeah, but with as much name changing that happens to tricks these days I find it better not to use a dictionary or whatever, because unless they are REALLY REALLY old school then they most likely have wrong names too

That site got that wrong. Bomb drop is riding into a bowl. Acid drop is throwing your board infront of you, regularly called a caveman.

I never snap decks. I can't get new ones easy right now, so I keep extras.

My decks never snap, and I only replace them when they're razortailed like mad.
