gahh new comppy help

Ok guys i went to upload soem footy and im on my new comp and when i uploaded it it came up as a sound file i can see any video

any idea what i did wrong

what program are you capturing into? do you have firewire? and what kinda camera?also hi8 or mini-dv?

its a mini-dv and i have a fire wire and im putting it onto WMM

well first off don't use WMM. It KILLS your quality! I don't know why it's just audio...check your capture settings...

it doesnt kill your quaility... you just have to change the capture settings. it kills your video.

I have windows midea center but it too dosnt show up with Video and im using a card reader now how do i change my capture settings?
