It looks like you're kicking down. And try to jump straight up.

You didn't even flick your heel. You just ollied and slid your front foot off the toe side. Flick it.

that's preference

your heelflip didn't even look like you had your front foot set up correctly your toes should hang over a lot more i see your heel raise up too so i know it's wrongwhat you're doing is setting up like a kickflip but you understand to move your foot further up but you gotta move it up even more instead of balancing on your toes you gotta be on your heel here's a website with a picture.http://www.skateboard-city.com/heelflip.php
for me i hang off way more than that. you may also be putting pressure on your toes so it will go behind you... i think and remember to roll your heel and kinda flick and tuck your knees!

^^ that means nothing. My heelflips are done with mytoe/side of the foot, its almost in the same spot as my kickflips just a bit more centered into the board. I catch them even. I can do nollie switch fakie and regular heelflips like this. Just stay centerded over the board, keep your sholders parallel with your deck, jump and actually moving helps out alot. Like with nollie heelflips for example, I find them so much easier to do and catch moving quickly.

PLEASE search the Trick Help thread before making a new post!!!!!!!! Dayum.

Anyways... You can't learn a trick not moving.

I can tell you're too scared to land it. Stop pussying out. JUST LAND IT.

Good luck.

No it's not "preference", the laws of physics are different when you move than when you are stationary.

when ever i try to do heel flips my board does a varial heel flip. weird. so the way i see it, i'll prolly land a varial heel flip before i land a regular 1.
