View Full Version : making my ollies on stairs cleaner

when i ollie stairs my ollies arent that high. like its almost a coast but like only a couple inches off the surface at the top of the stairs. i still make it over the stairs easily it just doesnt look as good when i see some of my friens that are reallly good at skating ollie so high and the board just sticks to their feet sooo perfect. their ollies are like a foot high ollieing stairs and looks so perfect. i cant really ollie high on flatground only like 2 decks. but thats still about a foot high. i dont ollie that high over stairs.
any tips on making my ollies higher and cleaner ? thanks

donot think about the stairs...pretend theirs nothing and do a normal ollie..the one that you do on flatground and if doesn't work....go there everyday and try...practice...and you'll get used to it...just practice on that set of stairs..start at 2-3 sets.....then move on.....

why is it when i ollie not moving i ollie as high as my waist but when i try to run i ollie as high as 1inch and when the board lands it stops causing to throw myself forward.what am i doing wrong and why does the board stop when i land??help plss

Haha.

Just ollie like you normally do. Don't go too high though, because it's pointless. As long as you clear the set, who cares.

how come when i pop shove it (or attempt to) the board always seems to go too far ahead of me??

ya same thing happened with me, its because ur ollie is low. what i did was work on olliening decks and i upped my ollie from 1 deck to 2 decks, so now my tricks look alot better

yea alright cool thanks. i always ollie this seven set at the skatepark down the street from my house. should i practice on that? or a smaller set?

start from 3-4...or 5 sets..get used to it first...most probably you'll always fall like me....but when you get the hang out of it..you'll be fine sucka!!

kiddin bout that...just strt with 3,4,5sets....and get used to it..like what i do..also try to ollie up some 3-5sets....

yeah i can ollie up a 7 set and im not lying.... haha but i ollie up each step 1 at a time :P
