I personally believe that his is a bad idea. I think this is trouble waiting to happen and could make a lot of garbage end up in the site content sections. A better way to do this IMHO is to have the users submit their content to a database that only mods and admins have access to. Mods/admins check over the article and give the final say as to whether or not it should be posted. The mods/admins would post it but the author is given their deserved credit and a lot of crap is saved from being posted. The database could just be an e-mail account that all mods/admins have access to. Just an idea to make things run smoother.

I thought right now that only Ramprage had the permission to post things in the site content. I read this info from the poll on the main page.

Are you talking about the site content section? If you are, member's should be able to post in there, so content can be looked at there also, instead of e-mail. But, if you'd like, we could close each thread once it is reviewed, so people do not reply with meaningless posts.
I thought you were talking about something completely different, which we will announce soon. ;)

Mike - this is in the works at this very moment. I started developing it a few weeks ago.
Once I find some time to complete it, it is very similar to what you described which is very ironic because I've only told mods about this :)
I'll let you know when it's good to go, right now mods still can't post let alone users and we still need to test it extensively.

What can I say, great minds think alike:D I just read about this in the poll and thought a lot of useless and misspelt articles (which can look pretty bad) would not be a good idea. Therefore, just have mods an admins post the articles so that they look a little more professional. Gotta make RR look good;)

hey, if a post is ad, i think the mods/steve should be able to delete it, so, it won't be so bad. . .

Mike: An online spellchecker would be ideal but I'm not sure where to get one. Any ideas?
Snaker: Yes the mods and admins can delete articles (or will be able to) once it's ready.
Full details will be explain on the release :D
