Alright, got a bit of a story. I was skating today with about 6 friends. We were at this store, and the manager comes out and tells us to not skate in their parking lot. We agree, and leave to the parking lot next to theirs, seperated by a gap of grass. We're skating around, having a good time, haven't touched their property since we were asked to leave. She comes out with a phone in hand and yells "That's it! I'm calling the cops." So, me and my friends are just like "What?" And she dials them up. We decide to wait around, because we got nothing to run from, we did nothing wrong. So, we're at the far side of this parking lot where we were legally skating, and about 6 cops pull up. They go on their speakers "Drop your skateboards, and walk towards the car slowly." We walk over there, and they take out names, ask for all the record crap, 'ya know. One cop puts us in the back of his car and drives us to the parking lot of the store where we were asked to leave. We get out of the car, and the cop sits us down on the corner. All this time, the manager is like, going off her chain, freaking out. We ask what we did wrong, it turns out we did NOTHING wrong! The manager calmed down and we got a 20 minute long speech on how we were disrespectful to them, and some other crap. They didn't even listen to our half of the story. It was pretty ****ed. They said that we were "Being disrespectful to the manager and the clerks, and that we should watch out 'attitude'." What is odd, we were nice when we did business with them, we even left our boards at the front of the store like they asked us to. The only reason they even took our names is because they got nothing better to do. What is funny, a group of BMX'ers had just left, and had been there for an hour. They didn't even get a talk to by the manager. Cops are ****ing pricks, and so are managers. But, on the bright side, my old deck snapped and i'm getting a Fight! deck. I'm pretty stoked.

some cops their ok, but more than half take their authority to far and they dont do what their actually supposed to.

example one time I was skating at a school I skate at almost everyday, so me and a group of my buddies were skating a bank in the back and a janitor comes out and talks to us and gives us juice boxes. Later we went to the front of the school to skate a manny pad and some bigfoot lookin lady starts yellin at me.

I just said "yes mam I'll leave" but no she had to give me a stupid speach.

And saying cops are pricks is a generalization, just like saying skateboarders are criminals. You just have to run into the right cops.

Here theres a few cops that love skateboarders. 1 that wants to rape all the skaters here. Heck we still skate. Some cops are good. Some are a dick. But the ones that don't mind skating are protecting you. Well EVERY cop is protecting you. So we can't hate cops. They're just doing their job. And I know Mcwattersm is going to close this. You have to realize that most cops are just doing their jobs and you shouldn't blame them for that. Yes, some cops are asses. Just be polite and if they ask you to leave then leave.

Man that shit sucks. I've never been caught by the cops, but my uncle's in the police force, so if I get threatened to have the police called on me, I call him, and he will tell me if it's illegal or not. If it is, I don't skate wherever it was anymore:)

this is just a word out to everyone about generalizing cops n stuff. most cops are perfectly good but there is a small group of them that ruin the reputation of the police and these are the ones we end up hearin about so no, cops are not gay but crooked or overreactive cops are, i myself want to be a cop and would definetely not get skaters in trouble obviosuly
