hard wheels are the way to go. soft is for vert and racing and stuff.

yeah hard wheels let you power slide, and they dont wear down so fast

Its all preferance. I have had both very hard wheels and super soft. Going from one to another is weird, but its not bad. I like both really, and right now I am digging big soft wheels. I have learned how to slide them after a few weeks and they dont flat spot. With hard wheels, like some rictas, they flatspot and become total shit. Sound like motorcycles. If I got more hard wheels, I would go for darkstar or bones. Both wicked hard and dont flatspot. I believe they both have guarantees too.

Haha happend to me, flatspots. Like a 30 foot power slide then I go to a nicely paved park and sound like a motorcycle.

Everyone here used to swear by ricta wheels. I never liked them much but I had a set. It ended up flatspoting and wearing down quite fast. So I found a naive little kid with brand new wheels that wanted rictas. So I ened up trading my allstars for 55.5 spitfires which are softer than all hell. It worked out for me though, now i cruise over anything, go faster, have more traction, they dont flat spot or wear(quickley atleast), and they taught me how to slide wheels that arnt supposed to too easily. My point is, rictas dont last to well. My friend harrison, used to only skate them until he started sliding his wheels. They became motorcycles and were obnocious. Never happend to his cheap soft rictas or hard ass darkstars. Those are my favorites along sushi, hubba, satori, blanks, and some auto-bahns.

^good favorite wheels^
i think you should get some satori wheels. i had the satori roots wheels and the satori wheels that had diamonds on the side.

Yeah that's what he means. I personally use spitfire and don't have any problems with them. But my friend skates rictas and his seem louder even though it's a softer wheel. Anyway there is nothing wrong with rictas. My friend skated hard with these wheels for 3 months, and will probably get a flatspot in a month or so...

the good thing about rictas is that the bearings stay in the wheel forever becuase theres a core. and for spitfires one of my wheels the bearing is coming out the wheel

Actually hard wheels are better for vert. It's faster. Soft wheels are better for riding on the street or roughter surfaces.

Get whatever feels right. I like 98a blanks, they feel right, thay're cheap, and, after all, besides hardness, urethane is urethane.
