Ok,

I got some new stage 9 169 indys this past Friday, and the short version is the BUSHINGS SUCK ARSE. Once upon a time, there were Super Cush busings to use in Indys, Ventures and Thunders. Are all the current bushing available seaworthy of all trucks? My guess is no. I see Indy has some hard bushings (99A), but of course, the best crew to ask is the crew who skates daily.

Who has swapped out their stock Indy Bushings and what did you use?

TIA,

I've noticed for some time now that my favorite trucks (Indys) stock bushings do infact suck. I switch mine to a medium hard Bones or Khiro Bushings whenever I get new Indys.

What I mean is that I had to tighten the kingpin down more than I would like to get the adjustment I was looking for. So really, those bushings don't suck arse, but suck for the adjustment I'm looking for. I don't like the bushings, particularly the top bushing, getting pinched down too much. IMO, if that's the case, a harder bushing gets the nod.

I like loose trucks, but not for mid-sized ramps, as I'll scrub flat bottom, for sure. I'm too old to street skate any more ;) I LOVE Indy trucks, but have NEVER loved the stock bushings on ANY truck I've ever skated.

Skaterat,

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had some grief with stock Indy bushings. Ever since Stage 3s, I've always traded them out. Blasphemy, I know, but back in the Stage 3 day, we used to use Tracker hard or Variflex Clouds (red) bushings. Ssshhhh. Don't tell anyone :p

Have you tried the fury's bushings, they should be a little bit stiffer then the stock indy bushings.
