Vulcanized shoes are usually thinner, more grip, rip easier, less impact absorbtion, more control of the board, the good stuff. Some like them, some don't.

i hate vulcanized shoes. honestly, who gives a shit if you can feel your board better, i wouldn't want a shoe that would last me 1 month tops and kill your feet on stairs.

Those are pretty good choices. I just recently started to prefer mid to hi top vulcanized shoes. I really liked my Emerica Francises (once I got some new insoles). They have mid-top chinos too I think. Just try stuff out.

Old Skools aren't really Vulc. I've got TNTII's they're very good.
old schools are. i think youre thinking no skools.. no skools have vulcanized styling, but its not vulcanized. its really good too, though.
i also have tnt2s.. the brown/white ones. yes, theyre very good.

I don't know if they are vulcanized or not but I'm wearing Vans Fairlines right now and they are the best shoes iv'e ever had. Sure, I've had to shoe goo the toes but they are really comfortable.

i personally hate vulcanized shoes, some people like them. but i have a feeling youll be upset after u skate stairs or any big drops. my heels hurt so bad, i was having trouble walking...im never gonna get vulcanized shoes again. i had the chiefs. oh and ur thinking of the rippers (coles new shoe), they are even thinner than the chiefs (what i heard from cole's friends). DONT GET THEM. get another pair of troopers. theyre the best...in my opinion.

it depends what you like. if your one of those kids who think they need G2 stuff and a 2 inch thick sole or your feet will hurt, don't go with vulc shoes.
if your a kid who knows what matters in a skate shoe, try a vulc shoe.

I usually only skate vulcanized but at the moment I am thinking if I should get the fallen trooper or not. I don't want to lose boardfeel and control. And the TNT2 are good.
