Hello everybody,

Iam 19 years old and i live in England. I always had friends and they have been skating since 13-14 but i didn't coz of some personal problems but now that i overcome them i would love to start skating but i am wondering ... is it too late? i mean everyone's start skating from his 12 or somethin... wouldn't it be hard for me to start now? and if not ... kind of innapropriate? should i start? thnx

I think it would be a great idea to start
And no, it's definitely not too late
And if you already have friends that skate, it could turn out to be a ton of fun
My advice: you shouldn't focus on progressing really fast to catch up in skill with your friends either, if you don't feel like it
It's a lot more fun if you don't take it seriously and just have fun with it

I'm not an expert but I think it would actually be easy to start now since you're fully grown! cuz think about it little kids are the same size as the board and have no sense of balance, whereas an adult the skateboard would fit right and if you fall you can do it with dignity:D

I know several people who have just started skating since they've came to college, even if it is just as a means of transportation, its still skating.

I'm 37, still skate and have a lot of fun doing it! For me, it's exercise, a way to stay in touch with the skateboard culture that I've come to appreciate and have some fun on the ramp with others who are my age that skate with their kids, nephews, nieces, etc.

Skateboarding is ALL ABOUT HAVING SOME FUN, and if you keep that in mind and learn some tricks along the way, that's even better. It's never too late to learn a new hobby, find a new passion, etc. Grab a board, get on out there, and have fun, whether you like to cruise, or go for broke. Take if from me: there's too many things in adult life that suck. If you're stoked on skateboarding, and keep fun in mind, you'll be stoked!
