it all depends on your preference man. if you like skinny boards and they feel good go for it, they both have there cons and pros, small boards are good for tech skating such as fliptricks, where as bigger boards are for gaps and transitions
as for the "wheelbite" don't worry, it happens to everyone you pretty much can't avoid it unless you never kickturn

its fine...but if you dont want that the design rub off..try getting hi or mids...mids with risers....hi without....cause hi when you turn it wont reach your deck and you wont have a wheelbite...and for 7.5 deck ur foot size is big for that deck.. but its preference..try getting a 7.7 or 7.8 cause my foot size is 13 and im using 7.8..or maybe 7.7 forgot...or try getting 7.6 or 7.7....or it depends on you..if you want to stick with 7.5 its fine..its all personal preference

Well I wear size 13 shoes and I love my 7.5, it doesn't really matter.
And as for wheel bite, dont worry about it, you'll always get it.

^^he absolutely right..but wheel bite can be dangerous especiall when your doing tricks in higher speed...if you land on wheelbite you can throw yourself and thats why i started hi and mid trucks...

I have a flip, i enjoy it but its 6 months old, I'm getting a new one, probably a tech skating board. I'm not sure what to tell you for wheels

No, that's not a good setup, but it will serve it's purpose.

dude I wear a 10-10.5 and I skate 8.0 and I think the bigger you are the board size goes up but sure if your into flips go for smaller and other stuff I go higher but I still do all my other tricks with a big deck. Also if you want a good starter board go with a blank im sure it will last longer than the element.

What are the best brands?
Decks: 'Nuff said
Wheels: Any. Rictas are the best, but cost more.
Trucks: Independent, Krux, Thunder, Venture.
Bearings: RocknRons, Bones.
Grip: Jessup.
