1. wheels dont make anything faster that the bearings job
2. depends on what you skate. if your skating ramps there ok, but on street they seem to crack easily
3. wheels are wheels pretty much
4. just have fun. maybe someone else can help explain

Spitfire's urethane quality is going down.

Wheels actually DO make a diffrence in matters of speed. There is high rebound urethane like Bones and there is low rebound urethane like Walmart.
And yes Spitfire's urethane quality is going down.

Softness also affects a wheel's speed. Harder wheels are faster than softer wheels which makes harder wheels faster. But, harder wheels won't roll over rocks or cracks that easily whereas soft wheels do.

when i had my last pair of spits i did a fairly large amount of powerslides and let me tell you, my wheels went from 54mm to like 44mm. no joke. had them for roughly 2 months, that's when they changed in size.

You ride a 99a Spitfire on a regular street, then an 80a Bones on that same street and tell me which one is faster.

aight so from what I've gathered, spits aint worth the dough. their quality was good once, but now they suck balls.... I'll prooly get some Cortech wheels. they're meant to be the best pour in the world, n they're Aus made so thats cool 2.
