I used to skate and I quit due to some ankle issues, and since I quit I have gained quite a bit of muscle wieght back in football. This is my question whatis the best brand/type of board for me?

Personal preference, but if you're just getting back on board, check out a blank deck or your local shop's store models. Much more economical.
