View Full Version : JEFF's SkatePark Stories Issue # 1
Setting: Skatepark
Time: 8 pm, few months ago
This story is the tale of a careless douchebag, a dangerous ramp setup, and me in the wrong place at the wrong time. This skatepark I am talking about is Located in wonderful Florida.pffbbtbt. Anyway. A certain section of this park has a quarter pipe, then an incline, then another quarterpipe. all lined up beside eachother. along the top of them is about a 3 or 4 foot wide flat, ended by a guard rail. There are guard rails behind both Qpipes, but there isnt one behind the inclince, for whatever reason(prolly broke). I was Standin there, watching people skate and just relaxing since i was pretty exhausted. I noticed one kid flying around the park, in a seemingly endless run of tricks. This douchebag wasnt looking out for anyone, He'd gladly run over a small child. Any way, I didnt see it coming, but I guess it was his intent to air from the incline, over the flat, off the 5 foot drop where there should be a guard rail,*there isntlol*.
He launches off, sees me, bails, his board flies a little to the left , and his body comes down on me. The impact knocks us both off the ramp over the edge where there should be a rail gurading. i land on my hands first, almost scorpion-ing and i dont know how he fell. All i know is that his elbow was bleeding and my wrists hurt. "My bad"'s were exchanged and we went our separate ways. A week later, I saw him at the park again. Within ten minutes, he aird the gap/drop and everyone said "woah". The End.

No offense but it's your fault if you standing on a ramp and someone is going as fast as they can for it and you can tell what they're going for. I've had wankers stand in the way and i've ****ed myself because someone doesn't have the iniative to move.
I was watching him. Then I turned to watch other people. Then suddenly out of nowhere it occured.
It was intense.

Ramps are for people to SKATE,
not people to WATCH.

This is your fault for just standing there. We call them "ramptramps"

i disagree with all of you. it was the douche bag's fault. if he is riding around the park, when he rides up the ramp you were standing on, he should just give a quick, "look out" and then you move, and then he goes back, gets speed, and then goes off.
ive had a few minor skatepark accidents. one time i was riding down like a 6 foot high bank, maybe like 10 feet long, used for speed, but some people have jumped it, and one kid actually fs flipped it.. anyway, i am riding down, and some careless kid isnt even looking and i smacked right into him, he had a bike actually, and that gave me a swollen pinky for about a week or two, and then the same day, i was playing a game of ledge skate, so i set a front 180, and once i land, a blader had been dropping in on this 7 foot qp, and as i took impact he smacked right into the back side of me. if someone took a picture of it exactly as he hit me, it would probably look like we're having butt sex. but i realized it kinda was my fault, because there was a croud of kids waiting to set something, and the kid thought it was clear, because he cant tell if one of us is going.

He should have, but unfortunatly people usually don't do that. What's more important, the skater or the person watching the skater? The skater of course.

A skatepark is for SKATING not watching out for people so you don't run into them. Its your responsibility if your standing uptop a ramp to watch out for flyingwood/bodies.

I am anxiously awaiting issue 2.
This is kinda funny too since everytime Im in the middle of a really good skate I get pissed off at the little kids on scooters on the ramps. I often find myself saying "**** this im gonna ramp into that kid if he doesnt friggin move"
Never thought I'd actually be the annoying kid.
heh.
I am anxiously awaiting issue 2.
hopefully it wont suck as much as this one eh?

You're better off writing Science fiction.
Or Fantasy.
