What size deck should I get? I'm just starting out so I won't be riding vert or anything anytime soon. I'm thinking either 7.5 or 7.75. I'm 5'10'' 150lbs if that matters. Also I'm not too sure on what size wheels to get.

I think that a 7.75" would probably be best, but it depends on your personal preference, my friends like 5'4" and 100lbs, but he skates a 7.75" deck, while I'm 5'7" and 140lbs, but i skate a 7.5" deck.

As a general rule, wider boards like 8"-8.5" may appeal more to Vert (ramp) skaters. Narrow boards like 7.5"-7.75" typically appeal to street or trick skaters.
Then i guess u should get a 7.75" board.

If u are a vert skater (ur not) you would typically want a bigger and softer wheel (54+) The bigger wheel will give you more speed and stability for this style of skating.
If your style is more for street or trick skating, then go with a smaller wheel from 49mm-53mm.

I suggest 7.6 or 7.5. Remember, the smaller the lighter. But it's completely up to you. For the wheels, it depends if you ride mostly on very smooth surfaces or kind of uneven, but I'd still suggest 54mm. I still use 54s even though I do a lot of flip tricks.

it all depends on what fills best to you
personally i think 7.75 is perfect and 50's will do

i don't know how to say this in some kind of posotive way, but you are downright retarded. 1/10 of an inch wider will not affect the board weight. maybe like half a milligram or something. sheesh!

I'm 5'10'', 140lbs and wear a size 10. I skate 8'' and up. My wheels are 55.5 mm and very soft. I skate mostly street too. It really doesn't matter if you have a small board and wheels for street. It is all preferance. To me smaller boards feel flimsy and are hard to catch but bigger feel more sturdy and easier to do everything on. Its all preferance.

im 5' 9" 130 pounds size 10 shoe 13 years old, i've mainly been skating 7.5 but recently got a 7.6 deck, i dont really notice too much of a difference between the 2. but if you skate a 7.5 deck then a 7.75 deck i guess you coud notice a minor difference.

my turn! I'm 5'10, 145 lbs, size 13 shoe, and 14 years old. I skate 7.625. I could skate a bit wider, but skinnier is just bad for me. I also enjoy long walks on the beach, and shitting out waffles.

I'm 5'8"-5'9" (I haven't been measured in a while), 130 pounds, with a size 13 shoe, and I'm 14. I skate a 7.75, but I want to get a 7.5 because in general, they're easier to flip.
