REDS are "Skate Rated" by Bones, a rating system that they take pride in. Most other brand bearings are ABEC rated, which is a system that doesn't even apply to the abuse that skate bearings go though.

I have Bones reds and could care less about some a,b,c,d,e,f-ing g rating. Mine roll my wheels, and are fast and when they're toast, I throw them in the garbage and buy some other bearings. You should, too ;)

No ABEC rating. Try to base your bearing choices on a reputable brand and not the ABEC rating because most of them are falsely labeled and the ABEC ratings don't make a difference on a skateboard.
