How to Start a Team!

ok first thing you need for your team isnt the name its the riders, with out riders its nothing, you should go for the riders with lots of tricks , style, and have the confidents to do big stuff as people will be more likly to watch and to visit you team..

your riders should be trustworthy willing to travel ,tour, and be there when you need them to film.

they need to help promote your team and get it going.

Ok a name think of somthing catchy which people will always know and wont for get. the best names ar the short ones as if you are going to make stuff long names luck to messing, and jumbeld.

You will need to host a website or a forum, or both, websites are good places to set blogs for visits events you will be doing, as people will wont to know about the next visit your doing. you want to make the site bright or however you want it. pack it full of skatephotos ,Videos everything.

put team profiles , forum to let people talk to you in a wold wide community with other boarders. theres lots of pages you can do check out other websites get ideas on what pages you can do.

events & visits are the best thing to do when running a team get your team well known by visiting skateparks holding competition & events.

promoting. make leaflets to give around skteparks or youth centers or town centers, remeber to put the website and who your are on it as they will be puzzled why you geve it them. you can also pay to put an advert in a skate magazine,paper, teenage. just check around sites for advertise pages,

your own products
this will get all your stats up making clothing with your designs,logos,names etc its easy to do but costs a bit, but wearing these around skateparks you will get nnoticed fast, also try selling them at skateparks or asking your local skate shop to pop them in th hanges for sale. its worth a try, or maby ebay.

giveaways/throw outs its always good to give stuff away as people just want to come back for more. it will show that you are nice people, and you like the public etc..

i run a comapny , we have ar own decks, clothing etc dvd dout soon we are on tour in a few months going around the US in a converted coach.

we got lots of contacts with magazine etc so adverts somtimes may be in them

the site is actally well known in some cities in england, they only take notice of the promo's , the visits we do , the skating,

non of them care about the tk domain :S

and some of the team have sponsors from www.skatewell.com

we buy the boards off board pusher then sell them here we did get atleast 30 a week , must some in local skateshops, and geve some away on tours and visit plus in competitions
