well 6 months ago i moved to japan, and ever since then, ive been wanting to build a flat box w/ coping.
last week, i stole some pallets for 2x4s and found this perfect peice of plywood.
so i built my box and its 5 ft long 3 ft wide and just over 1 ft high.
then i needed to find a coping, so i found this construction site, and they had been putting up some sort of fence and had angle iron. so...i needed it...and they had plenty. so 1 wouldnt hurt if i took it
it was the perfect length!
today i started skating it with all my niggas, and since i havent skated a box in a while, i was worried that i would lose my tricks, but nah, i still have all of them like the basic, 50 50, 5-0, salads, lipslide, noseslide and tailslides.
then i started trying something new to me, a fs smith grind.
i dunno if im posting this in the right place, but for all you wanting to smith, do not come up to the ledge parrallel or you will stick and fall foward.
i was trying uber hard and couldnt stick one.
i was getting into it but it just wouldnt slide.
so i started trying coming at a different angles and speeds.
first time i tried with a pretty sharp angle, BAM i smithed the entire ****in box.
im pumped, i built a box that was free of cost, its sturdy as hell and i learned a new bad ass trick, THE FS SMITH
