Ok, so I live in grand haven michigan, and we dont have skate goo either, and I use ducktape. works good for a little bit, but you have to keep replacing it alot. depends on how much you skate. Buy skate goo online??

About a year back i brought a pair of globe shoes. they where the worst shoes ever and in two weeks half of the outside of my right shoes was ripped off. i was determined to get my moneys worth so i put a load of duck tape over the rip and gaot a least 6 months extra use out of them. still the worst shoe ever.

Wouldn't duct tape gum up your grip?
I just take care of them. Look on the eS site and look at their shoe care thing. Works for me.

Normally my shoes don't really rip up bad but I take care of them. I super glue the stitching sometimes where I do my tricks and just makes it stronger there. I shoo goo it after time when they start ripping through. For the most part, I leave my shoes alone and they last. Alot of it depends on how a person skates.

just order some shoe goo online, and are you sure its not in your area? also theres another product made by the same company called "household goop" and looks, smells and works exactly the same as shoe in my opinion, i can't tell the difference between them, its usually in all the regular stores like cvs, walgreens, kmart, etc... its even in the same packaging and everything only its in a purple tube. i hate using duct tape by the way, totally messes me up by over gripping the board, its sticky and doesn't flick well, plus it wears out in like 20 min.

I came up with this crazy idea the other day. How about when you grip your board, you take part of the remaining griptape and shape to fit your shoe's major wear and tear areas. Then just stick it on your shoe. Now you'll have amazing grip between you and your board and your shoes will have total protection.
Enjoy.

^it would scratch up the grip and just wear out the grip super fast, plus it
wouldn't be as grippy as rubber on grip tape. feel free to try it and tell us how it goes tho.

Yeah but after the grip on your shoe wears down it wil be like rubber on grip but you won't need to put on more. But yeah ill try when i get a new board.

This might sound kind of weird, but I never really notice about the rips in my shoes, i only get rid of them when they're too small

everyone.NEXT time U GET A NEW PAIR OF shOES> ..buy some krazy glue or super glue or w/e . and put it on the stitching and maybe on the edges of ur laces.it makes the stitching super hard like its covered and on my black shoes it just dissapeared u can feel that its way harder on the stitching but u cant see it like how shoe goo usually looks really ugly. and it makes ur shoes not rip for a long time. ionno. put some on the high abrasion areas of ur shoes and it works like a charm.

Shoe goo works relatively well at preventing holes on the sides and front of shoes but I always seem to punch a hole through the bottom of my shoes with my big toe.
