Scariest Music You Will Every Hear

This thread is to show you another one of the most obscure genres of music I listen to, and to kinda show you how twisted I am, because I listen to this shit. It's known by a couple names, being drone doom metal, or dark ambient metal. Terrifying but wonderful is what I call it.

A couple bands that stand out as the big names are Sunn O))), Earth, and Boris, all on Southern Lord records. The pioneers really were Earth, who not only had the atmospheric music, but also had normal doom metal songs, as well. As Earth faded a bit, Sunn O))) (named for drone doom's trademark amp, Sunn Amplifiers) and Boris rose to the top. Just recently, Sunn O))) and Boris did an album together; however, it is not a split, because every song was worked on by both bands.

Wasn't unbearable. I had a quick listen to one of Earths songs, i thought it was pretty good.

Dylan Carlson from earth...He sounds so familiar. I swear I've seen that name somewhere sometime in the past few days.
Anyway I quite like the stuff of both bands on there...though i probably couldn't listen to it while doing absolutely nothing else.

EDIT: I checked out the photo's on the earth myspace and saw kurt cobain in there and remembered. It was a silly "kurt cobain was god" special that i zapped into which they mentioned dylan.

Well, Dylan Carson has also been in some of the greatest black/death metal bands in history. He's been in both Sunn O))) and Earth at one time.

That Sunn/Boris collab is pretty boring, one of the bigger disappointments this year
But Earth is always gnar, and Sunn has some of the best band photos out there

The Boris/Sunn collaboration has it's moments, I think. But, Prurient? I'll check them out.

Dude that isnt scary... ive heard my brother listeing to weird as music... it reminds me of my nightmares i use to have of like hell or something... the noises and stuff were creapy... like big metal hammer hitting stuff and door closing and fire and all this mixed together it sounded weird and freaky...
