i was noticing the other day that i always get a lot of pressure cracks on my boards. do you think that having my hardware too tight would give me more pressure cracks?

I've noticed that skateboards with lots of concave get pressure cracks easier. That maybe y Zero boards are so strong, cuz they kinda flat.

i think it is too do with having your hardware 2 tight as the pressure will increase on landin' squeezing the board forcing it to crack...wow that sounded boffy

i agree with what kanto said. my powell mini-logo has lots of concave and his ccs deck doesn't, and we both tigten the hardware quite a bit, but my board has little pressure cracks and his has none.

Get some Shorty's Short Stacks. They're a combination of riser pads and shock pads. Or just get some shock pads, they are better than risers when it comes to stress cracks.

riser pads aren't for stopping pressure cracks! they are for "rising" your board up a bit.... thats why they come in different sizes. risers make it so that if you have small wheels but high trucks, it will make up for the small wheels. some people think the risers give them more pop because for the bigger angle if the board. when the tail is touching the ground the board is more veritcal like this / instead of a small angle

Risers are for preventing wheel bite
