As many of you may have noticed, there has been a major influx in spam recently, much of it rated X. We are aware of this new problem, and all the mods are deleting threads and banning spam bots left and right to try and control the problem. Other anti-spam measures have been looked into and are being considered for implication.

If you come across any sort of spam in the forums, just ignore it. A moderator will be along shortly to clean it up; as we have over twenty mods on our team, it should be handled quickly. But above all, DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINKS IN A SPAM POST! Some of the spam that we've come across contained links to viruses. Clicking on any link from an untrusted source here may result in you getting a virus, so it's safe to just leave it alone, unless you trust the person giving you the link.

We've checked into it; every spamming member is from a different IP address.

I don't think we were aware of that, but it's just another glitch in this version of the forums. The new version is coming before too long, don't worry.

The spammers are probably spam bots.
Although I am not entirely sure why they are targeting us, where SB:C has nearly double views in a day as we.
But yeah you don't want to click it.

Yeah I'd like to include that these links have a good chance of giving you viruses, which are bad. Also, if you watch too much porn at a young age, you'll end up like me.
I find myself deleting these spam threads everyday

You members have been doing good on reporting stuff lately. Keep it up.

And yeah, don't click any links.

Plus, they don't exist. I'm glad Firefox prompts you before a download begins, haha.

Do we have word verification to join these forums? I can't remember.

I don't think they're bots. I think they're just bored people... Bored people being sent from other, inferior skateboard forums. Los bastardos.

I'm pretty sure their bots. Same shit is going on in a lot forums. Attack of the Vb I guess. Some forums have already closed up.

The Mods and Interns have been working real hard. Taps to them and the users who report!

its better if you PM a mod whos online (theres bound to be one) than to report it, because if you report it, you have to wait till one of us checks our email...

Man, 12 reported posts since I got offline Friday... dang.

I check my email as soon as I connect to the internet. The spam has usually been deleted by the time I get there. Big ups to the neighborhood watch!

If not, it will still repel people like Mr.Spitfire who feel the need to register as ten different people.

Turn on image verification, that will weed out all the bots and will help you a BUNCH, I checked and it's turned off.

vBulletin Options> User Registration Options> Image Verification

Also, under user banning options block all these email domains;

@cashette.com
@web.de
@mail.ru
@ankyl.info
@freeservicemail.info
