From the looks of it, it'd be fine, but I personally would expand the RAM to 2GB. Lots of video editing can eat up the memory real quick.

my brother sells refurbished laptops for a good price, and he know a shitload about this stuff, ill ask him to see what he thinks. he can probably get you a laptop for as low as 300-350 dollars, if your interested just pm me

i got a hp pavillon it seems pretty good. except when you let a friend use it he screws it up. even with virus protection.

i have the shittiest laptop EVER and i can still run vegas, afx, photoshop, msn, and firefox all at the same time. its a bit slow, but its workable. i doubt that laptop is any worse than this one, so its probably fine for what you need.
