help w/ custom avatar?

i'm trying to set my custom avatar, but it always says upload failed or something like that. whats the deal?

Your picture has to be less than 100x100 pixels and less than 8kb. I think

you also have to have liek a certain amount of posts before you can get your custom thingy ((lol))

it just says that upload failed or something. the avatar is the right size and everything. it just...wont work. does it have to be a special file type?

U only have to have 15 posts and you can only use GIF or JPG pics. I bet yur using a BMP

You can only use ASCII sigs. The html sigs have been turned off because people are going to abuse it.

I finally got a decent avatar, at least its original and i didnt use the same one djguey used. That would just be lame, using the same avatar as another guy. I went to a search engine and typed in POT GRAPHICS. lol yeah and i got this guy, there are lots of other ones too.

Why do u need to have 15 posts?

I'm not sure I can answer that exactly but I believe this is why. I think It is sort of a reward for coming onto Ramprage and hanging around. It also makes sure that you are a pretty dedicated member so that you don't come around, upload your avatar and then leave. It takes up space on the servers and uses bandwidth to load the image. Mods, correct me if I am wrong....

all u do is open the picture icon thing u want then go to 'save as' and then at the botton in the lil' drop down thing wehre it says 'bmp.' drop down and select 'jpg' and then click save :-D
