I remember like 3 years ago when I first started, I couldn't even stand on the board without some one helping me. And when I finally did it by myself and started riding, I feel backwards and hit my head on my driveway curb! OW!
My parents said I had to quit skateboarding because of what happened. But I borrowed my friends board and rode it in my basement while they weren't home. Well, that was my first day of skateboarding. How about yours?

I was pretty exciting about getting a skateboard so even though it was pouring rain I went out and skated for a few hours.

I remember my dad saying "I used to be good at that back in my day" and then doing some tic-tacs on the carpet in our living room. After that i went outside, fell and ate some serious shit.

I remember my fat little cousin coming over for a visit with a walmart board. He thought he was a little bad ass; he couldn't even ride the thing. He let me ride it and withing a few tries I could ride the board, but it still took a while to get it down. then I stole the board from my fat cousin and started skating,.

I used to bum-board (sit down on it whilst riding down hills) and I stood up every once in a while, but I can't remember the first time I ever started. It's always been a small part of my life, I just didn't take it seriously until a few years ago.

I had a really old school one that my bro had. It was a Powell Peralta but there was barely any graphic left so I can't say which one.
I can't remember what I did exactly either

well i had been on a skateboard before, but it was a fishboard i think i got it when i was six, i cudn stand up on it but i bobmed a hill sitting down. My first proper day of skating was in may, me and ma m8 went just outside of the village on a slight hill, and i found my balance quite well. An hour later i went on the steepest hill i have ever been on, twas scary but fun. I jumped off a couple of times though. A kl first day

I was in Australia with my cousin. I saw him skating on his drive and i thought "man im gonna start doing this shiz! looks hella fun".
So i went to the local town with him and we bought a setup. He showed me the basics and i managed to drop off a ledge and manual a 2 set. I was pretty happy. I landed a pop-shuv too.

I had some friends upthe street and I had an old board i never used. They were pretty good and they showed me how to ollie and the riding was pretty easy. They gave me another board with no trucks to practice ollies on the trampoline. and i took it from there. I got the ollie the second day.

I rode around for an hour or so, and I didn't know how to stop, so i just jumped off my board and ate shit like a million times.
After that, i plopped my board into the grass and tried ollies for the next 4 hours.
I got rolling ollies the second day.

The day I started sk8ing and I got my first board, there was a bbq so I couldn't go around my nieghbourhood until late at night. I had loads of time going up and down my driveway so when I got a chance to go around my neighbourhood, I bombed a bunch of hills that, at the time looked really big. Now, they seem so small.
That was my first day.

i was out with a mate and he and he was riding around on his skateboard n he goes have you got a skateboard?
i whent in and got this WWF skateboard i had gotton one christmas and forgotton about he taught me how to skate down the road and soon found out how fun it was.
I went down to his house and he gave my a set of better wheels and abec 5 bearings i was stoked. I later then found out there was 7 other skaters in my town (all of them BMX now) they started teaching me how to ollie and i went home about 11pm (to get shouted at by my parents for being a hour late) that was about 2 years ago and i have loved every minuit of it.

I didn't realize it at the time, but that day was one of the biggest changes in my life. If I wasn't skating...what the hell would I be doing...? That's a scary question.

Not even two years ago yet, just about but not yet. I had an Alien Workshop Steve Berra False Idols series deck. I learned how to ollie that day and I got pretty comfertable on my board pretty fast.
