Been tryin to kickflip and I can't flick the board a full spin. I either do a weak slow flip and the board only flips halfway (grip lands on the ground) or I can't get any flip at all. The only tips I ever see for the actual flipping of the board is "flick harder" which doesn't really help me because I can't even flick it right in the first place.

I've seen the stickies... And been on youtube asshole. I know how a kickflip is executed. Nobody ever goes in-depth on the actual flicking though except on flicking out and not down. I roll my ankle hard or soft and still get the same result. Some videos say to follow through with my whole leg and bring it back while some say to flick only my foot while the rest of my leg is stationary. Either way I still can't really flip it.

my bad didnt mean to piss you off but when u flick it you have to flick out try to flick it at the concave. like flick with your front toe not your foot just your toe. but do a couple of ollies then try to kickflip. i would do it moving

ok...er....:

1) flick hard
2)actually flick, dont just kick your foot out of the concave, flick your toes off it
3) try putting your heel hanging off the side more, or putting your foot further down, child (lol)

btw, kickflips are teh sex!

Allow me to breakdown the steps as best I can. I'm on the landing part of the kickflip and had trouble flicking it as well, so here's what I do now. (I get a perfect spin 9/10 times :D, can never land it though :(.)

OK, first off, since you are just starting to kickflip, don't have basically all of your foot hanging off, you have to have it to a point that you're comfortable. Later, as your learn to land it, have more of your foot hanging off to have better kickflips and maybe even get to a double, triple, quadruple.

So, have your whole foot on the board except the heel. Have your front foot a little bit closer to the back bolts. As you pop,(remember to pop HARD!) Slide your foot up as you would for an Ollie, but as you got to where the nose and the concave(the curve) meet, you flick. Don't kick it straight up or you will flick the nose and your board will go way in front of you. If you flick straight down you will get a good spin but almost impossible to land because your front foot will hit the floor. I'm sure you've heard this a million times but, flick out! Don't use your whole leg, just a motion of the ankle, flick as you would a Frisbee.

There you go, you have the flick. Now to land, that just comes down to you and how much you practice. The only advice I have is that once you pop hard, move your back foot in the air and wait for it. Learn to land 1 footed with each foot, that makes it easier. Just remember that it takes time and don't get frustrated/quit!

:D

ive gottin away without flicking i do it with just a quickslid then grab with my back foot and carry it out from there but try flicking off the side of your board it stops it from going forward to muchand well you know when you see the grip tape grab it with your back foot and move along it help to hold onto somthing for stability then after you feel ready start doing it stationary then go slowly and keep going untill you got a good stable kickflip well thats all i know my name is pretty self explanitory

Try it off a curb and also try it on a slight uphill slant. Somehow uphill makes tricks easier!
