it feels really walbley. I find it verrrrrry hard to keep my balance when not on flat ground. Does this mean I need to tighten the trucks? How loose should a baord feel? Note this is my first board aside from riding a cheap wal-mart board.

it depends on you, dont listen to how people have their trucks its your own perfrence (sp?) well just ride them how you like them if you think they are too wobblely then tighten them

well, you see, some prefer tight trucks, some prefer medium trucks, and some prefer loose. if you dont like loose tighten the kingpin till you have it as tight as wanted. i like mine tight, but a bit loose for landings, just above medium.

Like others have said, you'll want to tinker with your truck adjustment until you get your board like you want it. I am guessing that when you posted, you probably hadn't adjusted your trucks at that time. I bet most people don't skate their brand new trucks without doing some fine-tuning. Also, your trucks may squeak. If they do, it's nothing to worry about, and completely common and not out of the ordinary.
Assuming your new board is from a skateshop, or is a quality skate (trucks, wheels, deck, bearnings, etc.), your new board will feel worlds different than the Walmart jobber. It will feel faster, that's for sure, and you have a skate you can progress with.
Congrats on your new skate.

I bought an Alien Workshop Mikey Taylor series. After skating for about half an hour I got a lot more comfortable with the looseness of the trucks but I think I'm going to tighten them still. My balance still isnt that great on it. But yeah the difference is amazing. So much pop.
