ok so the other day i was practicing kickflips and i almost got them, i landed on the board with both feet but it was on the graphic side thats a good sign right? (just checking) and my problem is now, when ever i try to flick harder, my back foot always catches it early and when it has only flipped half way, so i was wondering if anyone else had this problem and what to do to stop this
help would be appreciated thanks

i always landed one footed and everyone told me i was getting so close, but they were wrong, my flicking was very incorrect (bad grammar, i know). So if your front foot is ever UNDER your board, then your flicking is definitley messed up, so just try flicking with your ankle, try not to use tooooo much leg. Dont flick the nose, flick the very side (concave area) while escalating with your ollie. Try holding onto something, it might help, and focus on that front foot of yours. Oh yea, and also do them with some speed cuz that helps and makes it easier. Don't get frustrated, kickflips are hell but once you learn youll be happy. If it doesnt work out and you wanna quit, DONT, start tryin heelflips or pop-shuv-its or just grinding. Most importantly go skate! Don't think about it too much and have fun!

dont practice them on carpet also, cuz then it makes you super scared for real land, unless your fearless or a jedi knight

i can land on my board upside down, my problem ISNT chickfoot, its my back leg catches the board to early and both my feet land on the bottom side of the board

Jump a bit higher, and put more of you foot on the board, and make sure your flicking where the concave starts. Also make sure you pop the board nicely. Your almost there. Youll get it tomorrow or this week.

Garunteed.

if your landing with both feet on the bottom side, then you just need to pop a little harder, flick a little harder, and jump a little higher! then you gots it, next move on to nollie bigspin heels!

Lift your back foot up more. Then, when the rotation comes in catch it when both feet. :) I don't know if that helped.

I think the best way to learn kickflips is to just have fun with them.

Just start cruising around, pop some ollies over some cracks, or carve down a hill- Then, set up a fun little line that won't be too difficult- try them at the end of the line, that way it wouldnt matter if you messed up.

Pop on some tunes, and get your groove on while you do it, too.

Physical Help: Try moving your foot back more, so you can flip it easier. Also try moving your foot more to the side of the deck.

great idea, thats how i actually landed my first kickflip 2 days ago, i was just cruising down my street real chill-like and popping some kickflips here and there, and then out of no where i landed on it perfectly, skating chill really helps out when your learning flip tricks
