Well, I've decided I'm going to start skating again. My old setup was:
Deck: Element Featherlight
Wheels: Spitfire Big Head
Trucks: Venture's
Bearings: Black Bone's Swiss
Hardware: Shorty's
I have no idea what to get for shoes or a setup. My mom is paying for pad's (they are required at my local skatepark), so I also need reccomendations for them. I was thinking an Element deck and Tensor trucks but I have no idea about anything else. Any and all help is appreciated!
Money is no object. I want the top stuff for everything. Thanks!

Anyone else have any other brand suggestions for a deck? I'm still considering a fiberlight or helium element deck.

Get an AWS ( alien workshop) or habitat or foundation. They're all good, but it's your pick. Just tyrin to keep you from getting a piece of poo board. (no offense if you like element boards)

That's the setup I would get, but it is pricey. You said money didn't matter so I added the best bearings money can buy.

i just built you something I personally would love. The only thing that may seem out of place is the bolts. They didn't have the right size in the kind that are the best so i got them one size bigger. They wont make a difference, because its only 1/4" longer. plus you can still use those bolts if you choose to get risers.

I think that setup was perfect other than the Element deck.

Dont get an element.
Deck, zoo yorks, anti heros, krookeds, AWS, habitat, DGK, toy machines are all great decks
trucks, independants, thunders, or krux
wheels, Bones usually last the longest, I like them
bearings, reds, bones swiss, black panthers, hkd's
griptape, mob, jessup, or black magic
Shoes, brands I like are vans, emerica, supra, and eS, but everyone has different oppinions on shoes
When youre starting out having the best shit isnt going to help you.

i bought some knee and elbow pads in Canada a few years back...they're not too big, but they protect well...the brand was Kronic and i haven't seen them at all in the States...so i'd recommend an internet search if you're still looking for pads

if your thinking of getting rid of your element deck then get a habitat deck. from what other people have said to me they sound pretty good.

I have a AWS, independent trucks, hubba wheens, reds bearding, shortys hardware and black magic griptape. I wear es antisocials, I like them, Im gonna get another pair after these.
Graphics dont really matter, theyre gonna be gone pretty soon after you get the deck. And shoes have a lot to do with comfort too.

Don't get an Element, shitty shape, horrible pop, bad durbility.
Deck: Alien Workshop 7.75
Trucks: Independent or Venture. Both are great. i'd chose Indy's tough.
Wheels: Spitfire/Ricta 54mm. Rictas are a little more pricey.
Bearings: I know everyone hypes bones reds, but in my opinion they really suck. If you're willing to invest in a good pair of bearings get the Swiss competion.
Griptape: Shorty's black magic. Again, Don't buy into all the mob hype in skate mags. Mob doen't have enough grit, it's super fine and you cant get enough grip.
Hardware: You'll be fine with any hardware. but in my preference: Shortys.
The last thing i have to say is dont buy in to all the bullshit hype ads for Element, and Mob. Guys sign onto the labels because of the money.
Buy an element and your penis will shrink.

um i've been looking all over the internet, and i cannot find anything about Kronic brand kneepads and elbowpads. i bought a set a number of years ago in Canada at a little sporting goods shop in Sault. Ste. Marie, Ontario. if anybody has a website or anything, that would be great.

Look into getting a FIGHT! deck
For shoes you just have to find some that fit well, its hard to skate well in shoes your not comfortable with.
Go with protec for pads.
