Usually metal for me, BUT HEY I've had this really weird change in skate music. My brother's friend bought him this CD with Japanese Meditation Music on it, and I used to do martial arts so I used to love meditating to it, and I burned it onto my iPod and I seem to skate SO WELL when I'm listening to it. Weird. Contradictory to what I used to listen to.

I've stopped skating to music because A) I started to find it really distracting and hard to concentrate on anything and B) a few times my ipod went flying and skid across the cement. When I did though I always listened to some form of older metal.

Mreh.. Rock and you put Metal in there? No Metal is not a subgenre of rock, infact it's more of a subgenre of classical. to the point, Bullet for my Valentine = Metal but slightly emo, Bad religion = Metal ect.

Now I listen to a lot of Beirut, amazing band, really chill and really talented. Despite my love for metal this band is amazing.

dont worry ill check em out.
ive never heard of these bands before.
must be pretty underground.

but seriously now, i skate to punk. gets my blood flowing. i think metal just throws me off. ive never tried rap. alternative and like grunge make me tired. progressive is good too.

so basically ill skate to punk and progressive rock/metal.
i live for punk. i can really like feel it my gut, ya know? yeah i know you dont but w/e.

and I_Eat_Emo_Kids... how is bad religion metal? maybe nowadays they have sort of a metal touch. but theyve always been punk in my book.
