I've been here for almost 3,5 years and there's always been a good amount of activity on the boards(with the exception of the bmx and the snowboard section). I've seldom come across a forum that's kept that up so long...mind you, I hardly ever visit other message boards.

this site is popular
we just have a lot of people that register and ask one question then leave
if everyone was active on this forum it would be huge

yeah I've somehow managed to keep the site going all these years, same owner so I guess that has helped too. The best thing is the people here, they stick around for years.
I'm slowly but surely working on a new version of Ramprage which will blow this old grandpa one out of the water. I just started a new business so I'm pretty tied up with that but I'm still finding time for good old' Ramprage :D

the site is pretty popular already, as far as google rank goes, probably not as popular as say skateboard city, but every one knows its name

As long as new members are good members, if you know what I mean.
Btw, 510 is A LOT. That's more then have of the kids in my school. That's a crazy amount of people.

When I go to Ultimate Guitar, I feel like I don't know anyone. Ramprage has a strong sense of community.

Exactly
RampRage is unlike any other forum, each member knows another;
unlike some forums.

The site was HUGELY popular back in the day, a few version of RR before this one, even...when skateboarding was at it's modern day peak and the Tony Hawk games were still on the PS1.
It's probably more 'popular' now, as in, gets more traffic and posts....but it's nowhere near as good as it was back in the day. We had a real community then, with people that all knew each other's names, hobbies and personal tastes.
I remember one Christmas Eve in the early years, when I was dead excited to come home, to log onto this site and use the chat room with the other members, because we'd all arranged a big online Christmas chat. Brilliant.
