I have been skating over a year and a half now I can do tres f/s flips nollie heels backside heels and other such tricks. As well as having ollied things 5 feet high and ollieing over 4 decks and kickflipping big things. Though for the past month all I've been doing is going to my garrage doing some tricks then trying an ollie and failing horribly. So then I become completely obbssesed with doing a good ollie, an ollie with a tic tac is not good enough, neither is one where my body isn't centered and usaully I can't even do one at all. SO today for an entire hour all I did was ollies and I was literally at the point of passing out. My front foot slips off when I slide to much, my body is never centered over the board so I fall off, sometimes my back foot is still on the table and I can never seem to get both feet over the bolts as though it is physically impossible, I convinced myself it is the hardest trick in the world. And now these bad ollies are affecting my gap skating too and I just suck and I want to quit skating 1 and a half years and I can't even do a simple ollie. Has anyone else had this kind of experience because I thought eventually after some practice my ollies would come back but they don't seem to be clicking and it seems as if they never will...

Maybe you were too frustrated or mad at the time. I can never skate well while being mad.

Hmm, sounds like you have a bad case of OC'd. Anyway, just take a rest from skateboarding for a few days, clear your mind, and then try and ollie. I guarantee you'll get it your first try.

If you've found yourself in a rutt, take a break. Sometimes when I'm too busy to skate during the week, and get back on after a week of not skating, I seem to skate better than before I took said break.

You're thinking about too much and aren't having fun, which is what sk8ing is all about. Be mellow about it. If you can ollie 4 decks then you're set.

So you're saying even if you are off balenced just a bit, then you beat yourself up? All pros need to turn or tic tac to keep balanced.

When you focus on one trick your muscles that you use to do that trick get tired, and you will get aggravated. You aren't supposed to get mad or im sorry INFURIATED with skating. Try something else, like work on a different trick, or just do something that you know you will have fun doing. Try doing some switch stuff. Keep your head up, and if need be take a break for a week or so. You probably just have a case of the winter needs to be over. If all else fails take up agressive inline it's xcorezorzzz.

Sounds like your rushing your skating. I didn't start to do tres for atleast
2-2 1/2 years. When ever I have rushed to get better, it always puts me in a rut. Just keep skating on it man, it will all come back soon enough.

Yeah man your thinking about the trick way to much!! If your as good as you say you are, then just do tricks and then do ollies every now and then. and dont think about it so much just do it. every1 loses tricks or gets worse at some point in time. well not all but most ive noticed. anyways just go have fun dont let one trick control your skating

sounds like you just need to chill.
don't spazz on this stuff. muscle memory is all it is.
just go skate like you always did, and when you're feelin' it, pop an ollie.
don't force.
it's good to be back.
